At the INCOSE-NL Workshop 2022 on 6 October in Vianen, Wouter Leibbrandt, Director of TNO-ESI delivered his keynote presentation “The future of systems engineering in the Dutch High Tech Industry”
Leibbrandt stressed, based on findings from studies conducted by TNO-ESI, that Systems Engineering practices vary across application domains.
He next looked forward to another ESI study on how Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) can be used to optimal benefit in high-tech industry, which is characterized by a long history of digitalization.
The audience, coming from a wide range of applications, indicated that across the board the dominant part of the complexity of their systems is caused by digitalization, indicating that the challenges ESI addresses are now spreading much wider than the traditional target group. A great opportunity for leveraging synergies.
