New ways of working needed; discover TNO-ESI’s futureproof system methodologies
Growing system complexity, increasing global competition, and scarcity of systems engineers threaten the world-leading position of the high-tech equipment industry. To address these challenges, companies need to speed up innovation, yet with fewer, and less experienced, system engineers. For this, highly-effective Systems Architecting and Systems Engineering (SA/SE) methodologies and competence development are needed.
TNO-ESI has written an SA/SE vision document with the envisioned future way-of-working. The document gives an overview of identified relevant trends and challenges on SA/SE, the derived industry needs, and a research outlook on what is needed to address these needs. The needs are clustered in five key categories, complemented by two enablers shown in the figure.
