One Change2Twin success story
The Change2Twin project builds up competence to successfully realize Digital Twins.
As a major – and early – milestone delivery, members of the consortia trained participants of 39 European Digital Innovation Hubs on purposes, barriers, realization pathways and available support in a two-day workshop.
Reaching out to about 1000 SMEs directly and indirectly, the professional ‘train-the-trainer’ workshop was organized by Images&Reseaux (F) and TTTech (AUT), with four TNO departments providing the bulk of the content.
Led by MCS and well received, TNO provided the digital twin story (J. Broekhuijsen, MCS), explained how to determine the business purpose of a digital twin (L. vd Aarssen, Strategic Business Analysis & I. Athanasiadou, DS), which barriers to overcome (P. Pileggi, MCS), and how to build them following the 7-Steps Approach (M. Borth, ESI).
The business purpose and the 7-Steps Approach sessions furthermore introduced questionnaires and tooling on how to assess a company’s readiness to undertake a Digital Twin endeavor, providing the means to understand needs and competency gaps.
This provides a firm basis for future cooperation, possible, e.g., through upcoming open-calls in the Change2Twin context, but also in typical TNO partnerships.
